7 Years of Research. One Mission. Zero Accidents.
"Appu Jankalyan Trust is a non-profit organization founded by Mr. Santoshbhau Chavan after years of deep research into highway accident causes. Our mission is to reduce road accidents on Indian highways through scientific analysis, awareness programs, and collaboration with government bodies."
Founded with a powerful vision — "No more lives lost on highways" — we have moved beyond just discussions. With over 7 years of field observations, we have developed real, implementable solutions (like Sand Ramps and Anti-Glare Stickers) that address the root causes of accidents rather than just the symptoms.
"I have seen too many families destroyed by preventable accidents. It is not just about driving; it is about infrastructure, awareness, and enforcement. We are building a movement where safety is a habit, not an option."
To implement scientific and social safety measures that significantly reduce the number of highway accidents and fatalities in India. We aim to create a safety net for every driver on the road.
A disciplined and Accident-Free India. We envision Indian highways where technology, strict laws, and public awareness combine to save every single life.
We identify the root cause and provide a scientific fix.
High beams from opposite vehicles cause temporary blindness. We install 'Anti-Glare Black Stickers' on headlights to cut the glare.
Trucks often lose brakes on slopes. We construct 'Sand Ramps' (Waaluche Ramp) to safely stop runaway vehicles without damage.
Low or high pressure leads to highway blowouts. We provide mandatory tyre pressure checks at entry points.
Monotonous driving causes sleep. We enforce mandatory 20-minute breaks every 100km and provide rest zones.
Alcohol delays reaction time. We conduct random breath analyzer tests at highway tolls to catch offenders.
Drivers save fuel by turning off engines on slopes, cutting brakes. We install sensors to detect and fine this behavior.
